Dr. Joseph obtained a BS in Animal Science and minor in Non-Profit Studies from North Carolina State University in 2012. Following undergraduate, Dr. Joseph studied canine behavior, service dog training, and integrative medicine. She was trained in TCVM acupuncture from the Chi Institute in Reddick, FL while in veterinary school. Dr. Joseph completed her DVM from Cornell University in 2017. She lived in Charlotte, NC for her rotating internship at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in 2017-18, then Boston, MA for an Oncology Internship at Angell Animal Medical Center in 2018-19, and Minneapolis, MN for a Radiation Oncology fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Joseph loves Emergency Medicine as a bridge between general and advanced specialty care. She enjoys triaging and prioritizing what really matters, and helps guide owners through difficult decisions with openness and compassion. She also appreciates treating her technicians and front office with kindness and respect.
Dr. Joseph is thrilled to call Charlotte home. In her free time, she hikes with her dog, Lester and if warm enough, her bearded dragon, Latke. She enjoys living a minimalist, eco-friendly vegetarian lifestyle.
