Dr. Carissa Smith graduated with academic honors from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, where she developed a passion for emergency medicine during her clinical year. Following graduation, she completed an emergency and specialty rotating internship in Murrieta, California, further strengthening her interest in emergency and critical care. She looks forward to providing compassionate, high-quality care to her patients and building meaningful relationships with their owners.
Originally from Northern California, Dr. Smith is excited to begin her next chapter in North Carolina. In her free time, she enjoys being on the water, staying active at the gym, baking, traveling, and exploring her new home.
